The Chamber of Valuers and Court Experts of Montenegro is organizing a new certification cycle for valuers in accordance with the new international IVS Standards – 2022 edition.

 

The training is organized online, for obtaining one of the following titles:

 

  • Certified Real Estate Valuer
  • Real Estate Valuer
  • Certified Plant and Equipment Valuer
  • Certified Equity and Business Valuer
  • Certified Intangible Assets Valuer
  • Certified Financial Instruments Valuer
  • Certified Forest and Forest Land Valuer
  • Certified Orchard Valuer
  • Certified Crop Valuer
  • Certified Livestock Valuer
  • Certified Inventory Valuer
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Using MS EXCEL Tool

 

During the education, candidates acquire knowledge to perform valuations for:

 

  • Financial reporting purposes in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
  • Analysis, consideration, or execution of transactions, i.e., buying and selling of assets, liabilities, or equity, mergers and acquisitions, or restructuring, for internal management purposes of a company’s management for making strategically significant decisions;
  • Legal, investment, or commercial disputes;
  • Acquisition of additional funding sources and mortgage or pledge collateral;
  • Valuation of asset values in bankruptcy proceedings, in accordance with the Bankruptcy Law.

 

Certification Requirements:

 

  1. Education:
    • University degree
  2. Work Experience:
    • For the title of Certified Real Estate Valuer: minimum of three years of experience in real estate valuations
    • For the title of Certified Plant and Equipment Valuer: minimum of three years of experience in plant and equipment valuations

    Note:

    If a candidate does not meet the work experience criterion, they can attend lectures and take exams as part of the program, but the professional certification will not be awarded until proof of acquired work experience is provided.

  3. Practical Training:Candidates are required to watch online lectures from the protected section of the website http://dls-cg.com/. To access the lectures (video materials), candidates need to contact the Administration, who will provide them with a username and password for unlimited access to the training.
  4. Testing:
    Candidates are required to take tests based on the previously conducted training and provided literature.
  5. Preparation of an Access Paper
  6. Defense of the Access Paper before the Commission
  7. Submission of Application for Certification:After fulfilling the requirements from points 1-6, candidates must fill out an Application for the issuance of a specialist certificate for acquiring the title of KPSVCG and submit it along with supporting documentation to the Chamber of Valuers and Court Experts of Montenegro.
